HOW TO UPGRADE SOFTWARE RBS & RNC FROM OSS

1. Install the Upgrade Package software to OSS, dont forget to unzip the file in OSS with command :
-->unzip <Name_of_file>
2. Run RANOS (WCDMA RAN OSS Explorer) -->GO to Configuration menu --> chose Hardware and Software management --> choose SMO
3. Go to software menu in SMO, choose the software-->right click choose Synhcronize CPP SW Package
4. Go to Network menu --> Find RBS or RNC that want to Upgrade --> right click and choose Upgrade
5. Choose software upgrade and click next
6. Dont thick the "Use associated software FTP service for each NE" and choose "UTRAN SOFTWARE"
7. In TAB Jobs Configuration --> Thick the 2 upper point --> Installation (Immediate)
--> Verify Upgrade (Manual)
8. Click NEXT and in Paramaeter choose Software and In Installation load module transfer type choose FULL
9. Go to JOBS menu and see the progress/log of Install Software (wait until it show the activity install complete)   after activity install complete
10.Go to NE Thread again, right click and select Start NE Threads --> this activity will upgrade the node   go to JOBS menu and see the progress/log of Upgrade (wait until it show the activity upgrade complete)
11. After the upgrade complete back to NETWROKS menu right click and choose ADJUST
12. In menu adjust thick All Filters and Jobs scheduling Immediate
13. Go to JOBS menu and see the log, wait until Adjust activity complete
14.Go to network menu Choose RBS or RNC want to Upgrade, right click choose Upgrade.
15. In Jobs Configuration Thick Upgrade "Immediate", Confirm Upgrade "Manual" and SWAdjust "Manual"
16. TAB Upgrade choose Reboot Node upgrade
17. See progress in Jobs menu
18. If activity upgrade complete go to NE Threads -->choose the NODE and right click and choose Start NE Thread
19. Go back again to NE Threads to verify the Software Adjusment by right click and choose start NE Thread again
20. FINISH UPGRADE ACTIVITY

Sebenarnya untuk trace RNC ato RBS biasakan untuk check dahulu dengan cara:
RBS>lhsh 000100 te s
Dr command diatas akan muncul trace capable apa aja yg munkin kita lakukan di board tersebut
Untuk check realtime interference yang ada di RBS dengan cara:
RNC>tgd celldata=xxxx ulinterference
Untuk melihat berapa capability Channel element yang ada di RBS tertentu:
RBS>cab

Dari sini kita akan bisa lihat SW level dan juga Revision untuk board TXB dan RAXB
Sehingga dr sini kita akan match dengan ALEX pada RBS tertentu dan kita akan bisa lihat brp capable TXB dan RAXB yang bersangkutan….
